Moment of meditation of the investitures of Sir Guillermo as Knight of Malta with Sir Jose Barroso
Chavez, grand cross Knight of the Order and president of Malta Mexico.
** NOTICES **
On June 23, 2007, Mr. Guillermo Alfonso Solórzano Macmanus, President of our
National Artist's Association of Mexico, was invested as Knight of Magistral Grace
of the Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of St. John of Jerusalem of Rhodes and
of Malta; in a cermony held in the Chapel of Santa Rita, of Saint Augustus in the
Polanco district of Mexcio City.  The ceremony was presided over by Father Luis
Felipe Garcia Alvarez canon of Guadalupe's Basilica. Under papal knowledge he
received from Father Luis Felipe in name of the apostolic nuncio in Mexico
Christophe Pierre, the medal of SS Benedict XVI.

After carrying out his preparation to receive said investiture, the president of our
dear ANAPCAA finally participated in this ceremony that converts him into a
knight of this centennial order; in which many immortal personages from the arts
have also participated, such as the Venecian painter Caravagio. We congratulate
ourselves for this event, for without doubt our president, Sir Guillermo, will carry
with humility, dignity and decorum the insignias of the Sovereign Military Order of
Malta.

In the name of all the members of our ANAPCAA
Mauricio Vega
General Secretary

** "The Order of St John of Jerusalem is one of the oldest institutions of Western
and Christian civilization. Present in Palestine around 1050, it is a lay religious
Order, traditionally of military, chivalrous and noble nature. Its 12,500 members
include Professed Friars and others who have made vows of obedience. The other
Knights and Dames are lay members, devoted to the exercise of Christian virtue and
charity. What distinguishes the Knights of Malta is their commitment to reaching
their spiritual perfection within the Church and to expending their energies serving
the poor and the sick.

The Order of Malta remains true to its inspiring principles, summarized in the
motto "Tuitio Fidei et Obsequium Pauperum", (Defence of the Faith and assistance
to the poor and the suffering), which become reality through the voluntary work
carried out by Dames and Knights in humanitarian assistance and medical and social
activities. Today the Order carries out these activities in over 120 countries."
